INTRODUCTION

CHARGE
The teaching began with an intense session of prayer for increase in wisdom, power and grace.
He compared the word of God to a mirror and how the mirror gives us the basis for adjustment. The mirror does not only help you to adjust, the mirror also reveals.
The mirror (the word of God) gives us the clearest and most accurate reflection of ourselves.
Sometimes we keep looking for what is missing whereas our search can be simplified if only we would look through the mirror.
Looking through the mirror requires humility and acknowledging that you do not know it all.
TEACHING
This teaching centers on the matters of purpose and destiny. It is the answer to a meaningless existence.
Destiny: A predetermined future.
For the believer destiny is God's predetermined plan, purpose and place for you in His programme. It is the summation of everything you do daily, weekly and monthly that culminates into a life of meaning and purpose.
There is a blueprint for your life. God is not confused about what to do with you. The fact that you are panicking about your future doesn't mean God is in that panic with you. He is Alpha and Omega. He sees the end from the beginning and in His plan for your life He did not include shame.
* You were born for a reason, there is a reason you have seen a new year. There is a purpose and an assignment for your life. There are no mistakes nor coincidences with God.
FACTS ABOUT DESTINY
1. Every man was born for a reason.
Your purpose for existence represents the solution you were sent to bring to humanity.
2. Your destiny has been predetermined by God but it takes your choices and your decisions to actualize it or to miss out on it.
3. Destiny can be aborted.
It is possible that an individual will not live out the script of their destiny.
When you refuse to live out your destiny you create a vacuum that God will have to ordain someone else to fill. God does this so that those connected to you will not suffer loss because of your negligence to fulfill your destiny.
* It was Dr. Mike Murdock who said that decisions decides destiny.
* Judas did not fail because he was ordained to fail, his failure to fulfill his destiny was as a result of his decisions.
Like wise, when you are faithful in the fulfilment of your destiny God gives you the responsibility to steward the destiny of others and multiplies grace upon you for this new task.
It is important for you to pray at this point and remind God that you are still available for the destiny He prepared for you. Pray that no one will take your place like Judas.
KEYS TO DESTINY FULFILMENT
1. DISCOVERY
You have to discover and find your place. You must be strongly aware of God's blueprint for your life.
HOW TO FIND YOUR PLACE IN DESTINY
A. In the volume of the book (The Bible)
If you throw away the book you've thrown away the revelation of your destiny too.
How do I find my destiny? You search it out in the scripture.
B. Your ability and your giftings.
Your ability and giftings are pointers to your destiny.
Everytime you do not connect your abilities and giftings to your purpose satan will use them for his selfish desire.
Our abilities and giftings when not connected to purpose will be an effective tool in the hands of satan.
Anything that is not connected to purpose does not have value in itself.
You must make a commitment to identify everything that God has put inside of you.
Inferiority complex is the effect of a lack of discovery of your abilities and giftings.
Most of us bury our giftings because of the tragedy of an inaccurate foundation. There are people who bury their gifts in other to honour the desire of their parents. There are people with certificates and degrees that has no connection to their destiny.
* Most times the last set of people to believe in your ability and giftings are those around you. It is your responsibility to consistently motivate and develope yourself despite the negative environment that you find yourself.
C. Service (especially in the house of God).
Service is one of the most powerful channels to finding your place in God, especially service in the house of God.
Service gives you an opportunity to reveal what is in you.
2. DETERMINATION
Determination is unbendedness in pursuit.
You know people of purpose and destiny because they are always intentional in the pursuit of their God given assignment.
Sometimes doing too many things is a revelation of purposelessness.
Determination requires courage because for the most part of your journey you will be alone.
The vision will not speak at the beginning but at he end. Your determination will force failure to become success.
The crave for sympathy and endorsement is the reason many people never win in life.
Every vision looks like a failure in the beginning. You must sustain the courage to walk alone. Trust the Holy Spirit as the Chief burden bearer and let His presence succor you in your pursuit.
Winners are people who do not have plan B. They set their hands on the plough and press.
You need a lions heart if you want to be great.
Faith doesn't make things easy it only makes things possible. The signs follow they don't go before.
* A lot of people set goals at the beginning of every year and when the going gets tough they give up on their goals. Your desire to succeed must be greater than any excuse otherwise you will never be great.
Failure in a venture should not deter you from your goal. Anybody that ever did anything significant must have encountered what looked like failure at some point.
Determined people don't weep for too long. If one door closes on them they force another one open.
Do the part you can do and let God do what He alone can do. God will not do what you can do.
It is better to fail in the pursuit of your destiny than to succeed at doing nothing.
3. GO FOR KNOWLEDGE
Get wisdom. Destiny is knowledge driven.
Every result that you desire in the Kingdom has a requisite level of knowledge and wisdom that it takes to actualize it.
Knowledge is not a gift, you must buy the truth. It will cost you.
Getting knowledge is the major activity during the preparatory stage of your destiny.
* Preparation always comes before manifestation and you cannot manifest beyond your level of preparation or knowledge.
A great destiny with little or no knowledge will lead to little manifestation.
Buy books before shoes. Get knowledge before you get the adorning of clothes. It is painful to look great and yet be empty.
You don't invest in knowledge in a hurry.
Take away shame out of your life by investing in knowledge.
Most failures in life is the result of ignorance. Knowledge is an equilizer. It is a bail out system.
The first kind of knowledge you need is the knowledge of your current state. Not knowing that you have a problem is a serious problem in itself.
* This calls for personal examination and scrutiny. Sit down and take inventory of your life. Identify the areas that you are ignorant and acquire the requisite knowledge.
No visionary person will follow an ignorant leader.
Find out what you don't know about your area of concentration and learn it.
In your pursuit of knowledge if you have the access to listen to people who have the results that you do not have you need to listen to what they have to say. Take away pride and pay attention.
4. INVEST TIME PRAYING FOR YOUR DESTINY
You need to generate energy through prayer. You must take responsibility for your destiny and pray till you tear off the gate of destiny.
Prayer is not a waste of time because there is vision and purpose connected to it.
Fasting and prayer is a necessary requirement for the fulfilment of destiny. It doesn't matter what you are called to do, it is impossible to fulfil destiny from a Kingdom perspective without fasting and prayer.
It is easier to fast and pray when you have not made it yet because the distractions are less at that time.
One of the skill that maintains greatness is the consistent fortification of yourself through prayer.
Your prayer will give room for you to keep making progress.
5. EMBRACE A LIFE OF COMPETENCE AND EXCELLENCE
To rise beyond the average in life and destiny for the Kingdom you must embrace a life of diligence.
A diligent preacher will be a great preacher. A diligent business man will be a great business man. A diligent politician will be a great politician.
Competence is mastery. You must become a master at something otherwise shame and reproach will be at the corridor of your destiny.
You are not required to know everything but you must be a master in the things that pertain to your life and destiny.
* Excellence and competence are languages that are understood all over the world. Their impact will eliminate all kinds of human barriers and restrictions.
6. BE DISCIPLINED AND FOCUSED
There is no glorious destiny for anyone that will compromise on the power of discipline and focus.
If you make up your mind that you are a soldier (as the Bible says the believer is) then you must accept the discipline of a military man.
You must lay aside sin and weights. Weight is anything that is unnecessary as far as your journey in destiny is concerned. There are many good things in your life that you must cut away from.
You don't have to cut off from evil things alone. There are many good things that are not profitable for your destiny.
7. DEVELOPE ENDURANCE
Endurance is the ability to stand and survive pain and pressure while maintaining focus.
If you score six over seven (in the above points) and fail to have endurance you will still abort destiny.
WHY PEOPLE ARE UNABLE TO MAXIMISE DESTINY
A. Excuses.
To one who is determined to find a reason not to rise you will always find one.
B. Violating the law of process
THE LAW OF PROCESS
It is important for you to pray at this point and ask God to open your eyes.
Many great people have aborted destiny because they do not understand this Kingdom myestry called process.
A. You must be tested and proven in order to be honoured by God.
There is nobody who will taste of genuine Kingdom honour as far as destiny and the Kingdom is concerned until and unless you are tested and proven.
There will always be seasons in a man's life when God will be proving you to prune every tendency that can destroy and abort your glorious future. And that is about the hardest phase in the life of a believer.
That is when you experience the silence of God. And if you do not understand that you are been proven you will waste that season and find out that the destiny that was prophecied over you did not come to pass.
B. It takes time for true success and destiny to manifest.
WHAT DOES PROCESS DO IN YOUR LIFE
A. Process tests your loyalty and your commitment to fulfilling your destiny.
B. Process builds patience.
God does not rush people, He gives people speed after He has made them and built them.
The fire of process has the assignment to roast many things out of your life. Nobody goes through fire and comes out the same.
C. Process helps you to honour and appreciate successful people.
God let's you pass through process so that you will not down-play the result of others when you see it.
Do not commit to people who have not gone through process, they will not have respect and regard for others especially for the great.
Sometimes God helps critics by giving them what they are criticising. And you will see it as a breakthrough only to understand that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
D. To Create memories and experiences that will help us sustain the success that is before us.
There is something that happens to you in your seasons of pain that helps you to manage greatness.
Most people waste greatness because they really did not pay any price for it.
Mismanagement many times is because we do not have an history and a track record of process.
D. So that through the pain and the process we go through we can gain the experience to raise others.
You are not a true mentor if you don't have stories. The secret of every great man is hidden in their stories.
Rejoice even when you do not understand God.
What looks like the basis for shame in your life today will become what the nations will honour you for.
The scare that God is allowing you to have has monetary value so go through it with grace. Do not waste your pain, there is a crown that your pain today will put on your head.
SUMMARY
These are the principles that you must engage in order to fulfill your destiny.
If you cannot live by these principles, destiny will only remain as a prophecy, an empty talk from the lips of a non-compliant believer.
Just folding your arms and crossing your legs will not actualize destiny.
* Look at the above points again, identify the areas that apply to you and start engaging today.
Destiny cannot be actualised unless you take the necessary actions. It is a painful thing to be alive and see someone else doing what you were born to do.
Wake up and pursue your destiny, don't just sleep through time.
