No matter what, Jesus should not be misrepresented by us...
Once upon a time, there was this issues in my school group chat that got me so upset that for the first time and only time I insulted my class mate.
Here is what happened, after sending that voice note insulting the other party, someone typed something that looked like this I can't really remember the exact words "Ndi church people, see what you are doing"
Jeezz! immediately my head calmed down, immediately I felt so much shame that I wish I could take back all I said.
I had to quickly delete the voice note and apologized in the group chat that same day, but what had been done had been done.
The truth is, the main reason I felt so bad wasn't just because I had insulted someone which off course was wrong but I felt so bad because I felt God got dragged into my mess, it pained me so badly.
I was so hurt that instead of representing him well, I had just given someone a chance to make snide remarks about Christians, I said Never again that would be me, never.
How many times have your actions given people the opportunity to say nasty things about Jesus?
Because of you they now refer to christians as "na them".
As Christians we need to come to the understanding that we are not living for ourselves, we are representing someone.
We owe it to Him to represent Him well, let us all do better.
Till I see us again at the top, let's keep representing JESUS well.
